This is the best Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe) I have ever tasted. History says this oolong tea was made just for the emperor of China, from a few select tea bushes. Taste this tea and you will understand why. The dry leaves are long, dark, and sinuous. The steeped cup is medium-bodied yet very complex, with notes of sweet, fruity, even hints of a mineral quality that adds perfect balance and character to the cup. This is a tea worthy of an emperor.
