Jade Pillar | Green Tea
This “Tai Ping Hou Kui” style tea is famous for its visual presentation alone. A gentle and unpersuadable cup of dried flowers, minerals, and melon rind. Refined and minimalist.
Harvested and produced in the third week of April 2024 at Tang Kou Mountain, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick of the local Shi Da cultivar growing at 1,900 feet. Taiping Hou Kui is one of China’s most famous teas. It’s dried in a flat mesh to produce its iconic look. Like most other Anhui green teas, it has an inherently soft character and lacks the astringency of other green teas.
