Blue Flower Teapot (Dobin)
Dobin is a larger style of Japanese teapot. It is characterized by a handle on top to prevent heat transfer and comes with a removable stainless steel infuser and lid. The handle is made of a vinyl material. Dobin teapots are traditionally used to steeped teas served in group settings, like Hojicha or Genmaicha.
Use 15 grams of tea in 20oz of boiling water and steep for 1 minute. This will fill 5 small cups to share with a group.
This teapot is Arita porcelain, the oldest porcelain production area in Japan located in Saga Prefecture. The colorful designs and white porcelain have influenced the porcelain industry worldwide, particularly in Europe.

Some assembly required: The handle does not come attached to the teapot inside the box. It is very simple to attach by bending the wire on both ends of the handle, inserting them into the holes on top of the teapot, and pressing the wires up to secure the handle to the teapot. Teaware care instructions:
- Hand wash only. Do not use in microwave, on stovetop, or in dishwasher.
- Before first use, soak in warm water and dry thoroughly.
- When hand-washing, avoid using soap or detergents.
- Avoid extreme changes in temperature to extend the life of your teaware.
