Black Jasmine | Black Tea
Perfectly floral with a dark undertow. Jasmine scented black tea is not common, but this one performs with pristine aromatics. A full-bodied, well-defined cup with no rough edges. Highly recommended!
The base tea for this lot was produced March 29, 2022 by Ms. Yang Xiao Ling in Anxi County of Fujian Province. It’s a combination of the Huang Jin Gui and Qilan cultivars, both of which are almost exclusively used for oolong tea and known for their intense aromatics. The scenting was completed on July 20, 2022 by Ms. Liu Gui Jiao in Heng County, Guangxi Province. It was scented three times using the “hong ti” technique, meaning the third scenting used an increased amount of jasmine blossoms, followed by a light roasting. This preserves the floral character in the liquor for a much longer period of time making it a great addition to ones collection.
