Through the magic of roasting, flavors and fragrances transform. The spring-like sweetness of this green oolong offers a contrasting, comfort food character of popcorn and fried rice familiarity. An unexpectedly interesting and satisfying tea.

The primary tea was harvested/produced April 18, 2022, in Anxi County, Fujian, China. It’s a two leaf, one bud pick of the Jin Guanyin cultivar growing at approximately 2,200 feet. On November 23, 2022, our friend Mr. Soup fired up his roaster and used this tea to produce a small batch of mi xiang cha (rice aroma tea) just for us.

Steeping Instruction

4 grams | 10-12 oz water | 195°F | Steep 4 min.

Traditional Steeping - Use 6 grams of tea in 150ml of boiling water:

• 10 sec – rinse
• 1st steep – 25 sec
• 2nd steep – 25 sec
• 3rd steep – 60 sec
• 4th steep – 3 min
