2021 Jujube Shou Mei | White Tea Cake
Sorry, currently out of stock
350-gram cake
Tastes like dried, aged jujube fruit (Chinese dates). The dark leaves make a heavy body for white tea, but it still has that classic texture. The aroma is ripe and musty with a slight cherry and leaf-like presence in the cup. Buy one to age and one to drink now.
Made on July 1, 2021 in Fuding County, Fujian. Made from 1 bud, 2-3 leaf pluck from Fuding Big Hair cultivar grown at 2,100 feet. After picking the leaves are then sun withered, indoor withered, dried, and compressed. Fuding County is the origin of modern white tea making in China and still considered to be the highest quality.
