Ceylon Peacock Feather | Black Tea
Available in 2 oz. quantities only.
The flamboyant floral flavors are flashy and refined, waiting to see if you can possibly turn your attention away. The mouthfeel is perfectly smooth and gives a marshmallow sweetness underneath its aromatic grandeur. There’s nothing else quite like it.
Produced March 20 through April 10, 2024 by Mr. A. Dissanayagam at the Mattekelle Estate in the Dimbula region of Sri Lanka. It’s a two leaf and a bud pick of the Benifuki cultivar growing at 4,400 feet. The Benifuki cultivar originated in Japan and was brought to Sri Lanka by our friend Haris in 2005 when he was the estate manager of the Mattekelle Estate. What started out as a single plant is now covering three acres of the estate’s tea fields.
