Evil Snake King | Raw (Sheng) Puer Tea
Limited quantities available.
Fiendish, fruit-bearing aroma. Limber in body, but a stern dry and cooling mouthfeel. Grapefruit cup with the ripening feel of the underworldliness.
Made on April 3, 2021 by Mr. Chen Zhao Quan in Yiwu town of Xishuangbanna, Yunnan. It’s a 1 bud 3 leaf pick of Yunnan Big Leaf growing at approx. 4,200 feet. In the local language of the Dai people, “Yiwu” means “beauty snake.” Legend says this place belonged to the evil Snake King Wu Lai, who saw a beautiful Dragon Girl by the river and kidnapped her along with another human princess to keep in his cave. A warrior named Han Lun was recruited by the father whose human daughter had been kidnapped to destroy the Snake King and return her. The rescue effort trapped Han Lun in the cave. And though he was victorious in battle, he was gravely wounded. Deep in the cave Han Lun found the dragon girl who helped him escape through a connection to the sea. The people named the mountain “Beauty Snake” to thank the Dragon Girl (because snake is part of a dragon).
