November Tieguanyin | Oolong Tea
Available online only.
A floral sweet cup from the last harvest of the year. The lilac aroma and slight herbaceous edge keep it clean and tidy. An excellent value.
Made from the last harvest of 2020 on November 5th by Mr. Wang Xiang Ming. It comes from the town of Lutian, which is one of the highest elevations in Anxi, Fujian, China. The cool weather of the late season allows the leaves to mature slowly and produce a sweeter character than is typical. Mr. Wang lets his fields grow a little wild (and not quite so photogenic), but he believes in letting nature share some of the work of keeping the plants healthy and producing good leaf to work with. It’s an attitude he has toward food in general. He’s an excellent cook who runs a restaurant on the street running through town.
